Sepoha: The power of Gandhi-giri (Nonviolence)
There was a island called Sapsa. There was no King or Queen. People were Governed by Set of Laws created by their forefathers. People on the island call themselves Sapsons. Their was a species of bird Called Sepoha who was integral part of their life. They believed it's a Gift given by the God. Sepoha is big enough to carry people. People ride on Sepoha to get to other islands for food. There are very less farm lands as island mostly covered with mountains. They use Sepoha to catch fish from the sea. So without Sepoha it was almost impossible for the Mankind to survive on the island.
There was a boy named Lima. He was the only son. Lima was 3 years old. As the Lima grows, "he sees his father and Mother are flying on Sepoha. His father calling his Sepoha Niliha and his mother calling her Sepoha Simiha. He asks so many questions to his mother when he goes to sleep."
Mother, "why can't you take me when you are flying?" His mother replies, "Only one person can fly on Sepoha. You will fly a Sepoha when you turn 15. But you have to be a good person. Otherwise God will get angry on you and he will never send a Sepoha for you."
He couldn't wait to become Young. As he turns 6 he made friends with Sosa, a girl who is 8 years old and Kloha, a boy who is 5 years old. These three became good friends. They play together. They dream together. They dream to ride on Sepoha and can't wait to become independent. Life couldn't be happier for them.
One day, they were playing together. They heard two boys getting drowned in the sea. They went over to see. They saw people were just standing and no one was actually trying to rescue them. And finally they got disappeared in the sea. It was a very horrific incident for them. They got back to their home and got scolded by their parents. But they had strict instructions not to get close to the sea. When Lima went to the bed, asks his Mother.
"Mother, why people didn't try to rescue them and why can't go to the sea?". His Mother replied, "There are ghosts in the Sea. Who goes to the Sea, ghosts drag their feat. So never get close to the Sea again. Those boys didn't listen and see what happened to them? "This incident nearly rattled the Boy's dream about the beautiful world.
Time goes by, Lima turns 10. He was sitting on the beach alone and looking at the waves of the Sea. He was pondering about what his Mother told about Sea. So many thoughts came to his Mind.
"If there are ghosts in the sea, why can't they come out? Or only they live in the Sea? If they are dangerous then how come fish stay alive in the sea?"
He finally decided to give it a try. He came closer to the sea. He was nervous. He touched the water. Nothing happened. He felt a bit confident. Then he advanced more. But soon he realized, "he is slipping like someone is pulling his leg". After a few moment he saw he is being pulled by his shoulders. He realized that it was Neka who works on a nearby Field. He knew that he will be scolded by his mother for this action. So Somehow he managed to convince Neka to keep it a secret. Now he is convinced that something is there in the sea that attacks Sapsons.
Time passes by. Lima getting younger. There comes a day when Sapsons celebrate this day as Sepoha day. On this day, they worships Sepoha. This is a kind of annual function for them. People get together with their Sepohas. People play music. And most important thing children can get to know more about Sepoha.
One year passes by. Now Lima learned to work on a field. He made two new friends Hresa who works with him on the field and Seha who is a neighbour. He was returning from the field, he saw, people were running to Group of Seniors and they were telling somebody is getting punishment. (Group of Seniors is the entity that gives punishment.) He finds that it was Neka. Neka was trying to kill a Sepoha. People were saying, "Neka has became a evil. He needs to be punished." He couldn't believe it. He was thinking how come people become so bad? Don't they have humanity?
Hresa is now 15 years old and it is the year to ride on a Sepoha. Lima closely watches how Hresa gets a Sepoha. There is a cave where Sepohas live. An eligible Sapson gets into the cave and tries a Sepoha that comes close to them. Now it is the time for Hresa. But only one Sapson is allowed to enter the Cave. Nobody is allowed to see the process as well. Hresa asks Lima to come with him as he was very nervous. So Lima went with him. Lima waited outside and Hresa entered the cave. After some time Lima saw that Hresa was flying on a Sepoha. He looked very happy. Lima dreams of entering the cave one day.
One year passes by. Sosa turns 15. Lima was happy that his childhood friend will fly on a Sepoha very soon. Sosa and Lima was talking the day before Sosa supposed to enter into the cave. Sosa tells Lima, "when you turn 15 and get a Sepoha, we will go together for fishing, explore those beautiful mountains." They were very much happy.
The next day when Lima was going to the field, he saw that Sosa is standing on the cliff of the mountain looking at the sea. He was terrified, he runs to Sosa. Before he reaches to her, she jumps to the Sea. He couldn't believe what just happened. Then he started running to Sosa's home and tells her mother about Sosa. He was terrified thinking about her Childhood friend. He couldn't sleep thinking about her.
Two years passes by. Lima turns 15. Kloha and Lima became close friends now. Lima's father and mother were celebrating as their only son will get a Sepoha after one week. Lima was very excited. Lima thought not wait for a week. So he decided to go to the Sepoha Cave tomorrow.
The next day, early in the morning he left his home. He was really nervous as well as excited. He reached Sepoha Cave. He took a deep breath. He thought this is it. He then entered the Cave and kept walking, it was quiet dark. After walking for some time, he heard the sound of Sepohas. It was a big relief for him. As he approached to the center of the Cave, he could see some Sepohas were sleeping, some were walking. Then there was an alert among Sepohas as they saw someone entered their Cave. But they soon recognized that it was a not a threat. Then one Sepoha came to him and allowed him to sit. Lima couldn't believe how simple was that. He then sit on her. Then Sepoha flied straight to the Sky. Lima was scared as it was the first time he was flying. Then he directed Sepoha to go to his home as he wanted his mother and father know about this. Then Sepoha suddenly came down and threw him to the ground.
Lima couldn't believe what just happened. Everything was good until he directed it to go to his home. He was sad and afraid. He kept thinking what mistake he made. He spent his whole day on the field thinking about it. This has shattered his dreams. Then he realized, he might have gone on the wrong day. So he kept his hope alive.
One week has passed. In the morning, he didn't tell his mother or father and went over to the Sepoha Cave. So many thoughts came to his mind. "Is he bad person? Has he committed any crime?". He reached to the Cave and approached to the center of the cave. Sepohas were watching him. Then one Sepoha came to him. He recognized that it was a different one. He was relieved. He then sited on it. As last time, Sepoha flied straight to the Sky. Then she suddenly came down to the ground and threw him.
Lima was afraid. He still lies on the ground and looking at the Sky. Now he thinks of him as a bad person. He was thinking of not going back to the home. He gathers his strength and get up on his foot. He walks randomly and decides to go to the beach. He was sitting on the beach and thinking. He thought he didn't do any bad thing in his life. After some time, he thought, maybe there was something wrong with those two Sepohas. He quite convinced by this idea. So he decided to return home and tell his Father that he is afraid of height and will get a Sepoha next year. He reached home and his mother and father were waiting for him. He told them exactly what he has planned. But they were not convinced by this, they pushed him to try once otherwise they will have to wait one more year.
In the night he was sitting on the front yard and watching Niliha and Simiha (Sepohas of his Father and Mother). He found that Sepohas trying to say something in their bitter eyes. He went close to them. Before he did something Simiha touched him with her head. Soon he realized that they are trying to say something. Maybe they are trying to say not to lose hope. He tried hard to ignore it and went to bed.
Tomorrow morning, he tried to reassemble his broken pieces thinking that he will never go to the Cave again and live a great life. He prepared himself to go to the field and as always these thing hovers in his head as he walks to his field. He was working then he saw one Sepoha came to his field and flapping its wings. It seemed like it was trying to say something. He was not able to understand what was happening. He then thought, maybe this has been sent by God. He is in a dilemma. Should he try or not. Then something happened and he saw nearby people was rushing into something. He decided to try this Sepoha for last time. As he extended his hand to touch the Sepoha, it started to hurt him with its wings. He was confused and tried to hop over then it threw him. As he was hurt, he started to hurt the Sepoha as well to some extend. Soon he realized what he was doing, so he stopped. After that, Sepoha flied away.
In the evening, he was sitting on the front yard, and thinking what happened today. Why a Sepoha came to me and what it was trying to say with its wings. It could have flied away when I approached then nothing would have happened. Then he saw Niliha and Simiha flapping their wings as well. As he went forward to see what is wrong, they seemed to attack him as well. Then he quickly retreated. He got very scared. He then went to the bed trying to think what is happening to him.
Next morning, he prepared himself to go to the field. He was walking, then he saw one Sepoha trying to follow him. He got a bit angry and tried hard to ignore it. He was working on the field, he saw his friend Hresa came with his Sepoha to work on his field. It was kind of relief as he was going through too much. As soon as he started a friendly conversation with him, Sepoha tried to distract Hresa by flapping its wings vigorously. Then after some time it flied away. Lima understood that something is happening. So he returned to his field.
When he was returning to his house, he saw, two Sepohas were following him. He got very angry. He thought to teach them a lesson. He planned to shoot them down. He had dinner with his father. His mother noticed he is angry. So she asked him "what is wrong?". Lima was not sure if he should talk to his mother. He thought she wouldn't believe him. Sepohas were known to be Sacred. No one would believe him. So he said "nothing". His mother told him, "Don't make decision when you are angry. Always try to understand and seek answer". This advice has made positive impact on him. When he went to bed, he realized maybe mother is right. He tried to keep his emotion away and think what is happening to him.
How come all Sepohas are behaving badly with him?
Is it because the small fight that happened yesterday?
Is that the reason all Sepohas are trying to hurt him?
But how come they all know so fast?
Are they communicating that fast?
"But what I did yesterday was just a reflection. I had no intention to hurt. There is something that I am missing. Let me think once again."
"Maybe they are trying to provoke me. It could be! But why are they trying to make me angry? Oh, when I get Angry, I would attack them and when I do, people would think I am a evil spirit. When it is proved that I am evil and attacking Sepoha, then they can execute me. Oh my god, it is a sinister plan. Wait, when Sepoha came to the field, people were around. People would have seen me attacking a Sepoha. But that didn't happen as for some reason People left. That was the plan. They tried to end me there. But why they want to end me in the first place? I am just a small person." He couldn't find the answer.
He thought to go to the Group of Seniors and tell everything. But there was no Law for this. Even if he tell against Sepohas they will prosecute him. So he rejected this plan. But he understood one thing.
"Sepohas are communicating in a way that is beyond his imagination."
Next day he was working on the field. He saw Hresa coming with his Sepoha. But Sepoha didn't let him land on the field. He was circling around and then flied away. Hresa also seemed confused. It looked like Sepoha trying to indicate Hresa that it didn't want to get close to Lima. Now Lima is certain that they were trying to present him as a evil person.
He was sitting on the beach thinking all about this. He thought he lost everything in his life. He lost all his dreams. He lost all his friends. Sepohas working together to harass him and he can't tell anyone about this. If he can't get a Sepoha, ultimately people will think he is a bad person. He was frustrated and defeated in his life. He thought to end his life. He then moved forward to the sea. Finally he touched the Sea. Then he remembers one incident when Neka saved him from the Sea ghost. He moved back. He tried to remember what happened last time. Neka was a good person. Then something sparked in his head. Why would he have tried to hurt a Sepoha? They must have made him do it. But why he? After thinking for sometime Lima found that case of Neka and his are similar. Sepohas didn't let Neka fly on them as me. But why they didn't let Neka fly. Is there something that they need from us. If they don't get that then they don't let us ride. Hmm, that could be a possible reason. But why they want us dead? Maybe we are known to be good person. There is a believe that only Good persons can ride Sepohas. So if people find this is not true, then people will know the Truth and there is risk of their survival. This all makes sense now. He understood that,
"Their survival depends on me being angry or violent."
Now he understands why Sosa committed suicide. She couldn't bear the idea of people telling her a evil spirit. So it is Non-Violence that will help me survive! Yes it is. Through non-violence I might prove they are bad.
Tomorrow morning it was very late when he woke up. When he reached the field he saw Hresa working on the field and his Sepoha was not there. So he tried to talk to him. But it seemed like he was trying to avoid him. He couldn't understand, he was a good friend. He thought, "how come suddenly he doesn't want to talk? Oh, it was Sepoha. It might have done something to him. Oh my god,
"They have the power of Manipulation."
They had almost compelled me to hurt them. So they kind of have advance brain and they communicate fast. He was going crazy. He realized that People are becoming Slave and Sepohas becoming Master. People do what Sepohas tell them to do. He was thinking how can he change the mind of People? They are never going to believe it." He thought to try his old friend Kloha. He has been a brother to him, so he will believe him.
Next day, he went over to his house. Kloha was happy seeing him. They had dinner. So he started telling all these things. He was patient and listened to all his stories. But soon Lima found that he was not buying his story. He started asking questions, "why would they do it? Sepohas can catch fish. They can live all by themselves." Lima didn't have answers for this. This was not unexpected for him. So Lima left and decided that he is not going tell all these stories.
He understood that, "what Kloha thinks is right. People won't believe me if I don't find a reason. But how can I find unless I am in the air on a Sepoha. Maybe I didn't explain it properly to Kloha". He planned in a different way to explain this to Seha. She had a Sepoha. So he knew that it won't be easy. He normally sees Seha in the evening. But he needs to make sure, no Sepoha sees him talking with her. So he chose to tell her tomorrow night.
Tomorrow night he quietly entered into her house. Seha was surprised to see him in an unexpected time. She asked him, "what happened?" He said, "nothing I just wanted to talk". Seha said, "okay". So he began like this.
"There is something on my mind that is bothering me! I thought tell you. It will sound bizarre... It is very hard to understand. Probably you won't believe me. But please hear me out. Sepohas are trying to trick us. They need us to survive and they are actually getting that. If they are not getting what they want, then they are trying to trick us either to commit crime or commit suicide. When we commit crime, we are being executed. So either way they are eliminating us. I know what I am saying is beyond your imagination. But it is true. Please believe me. I don't know what they want from us. But there is something. I need you to understand this."
She was stunned. She could not believe this. She said, "I have a Sepoha. It never tried to hurt me. I have never seen anything like this. Maybe there is some confusion". Lima understood that it didn't work. So he said, "please keep it a secret until I understand it". So she promised to keep it a secret. Lima tried to understand why people are not even ready to listen anything against Sepoha. Maybe they are beautiful? Talking negative about them just don't work. Maybe that's how our brain works. Yes, this might be true. Our brain is trained to not accept anything bad about beautiful Sepohas. Our brain thinks beautiful means Good! This has become even more difficult for him.
Lima pledged not to bow down. He thought to look everything from a different perspective. For this he needs to change his way of life. He plans to take cows for grazing in the morning. This is usually his father's job. So tomorrow morning he took their flock of cows to the field. He met two new people, Roki who is a 11 years old boy and Kirk who is 17 years old boy. He had a very good time with them. They joked and laughed. He thought to continue this way of life for sometime.
They meet for next few days. All three became very good friend. Then one day, Kirk stopped coming. Roki has also no idea, who is a very good friend of Kirk. After some research, Lima found that it was Sepoha! He was sure that it might have manipulated him in some way. He can't believe that they don't want me to have a life! He was angry but promised himself to be calm!
One day he saw Hresa is working on the field. He thought to do an experiment. "Let's reverse manipulate him. If I can make him remember the old memories then I can able to talk to him". So he started like this, "Hey Hresa, you remember the last time when the flock of birds eating our grains and they were not leaving, we had run a lot to fly them out?" Hresa said, "Yes brother I remember that. Good old memories". Lima said, "hmm, we are not talking anymore". Hresa said, "I have been very busy and I have a lot of work. So?". Lima understood that he didn't want to talk. So he left. He understands that, "This is manipulation. You can not tell people that you are under manipulation because what they are doing they think they are doing on their own". He saw one Sepoha eavesdropping his conversation with Hresa. He observed that Sepohas are tracking his every move. So he needed to be cautious. While returning from the field, he saw that few Sepohas have made a group. It looked like they kind of planning something! Now he is a bit afraid. He asked himself these questions, "what if they do something before I do? But if I do something they will make me a bad person?. Maybe the safest way is to remain calm and non violent". He couldn't understand all those things happening to him. He was becoming mad. He was thinking
Maybe his brain is not advance enough to understand these.
Now Lima has no friend. No one understands him. He goes to the field alone, works alone. Sepohas took away all his friends through manipulation. One day he was preparing himself to go to the field, he saw his father is going to the island with Niliha(Sepoha of his father). He saw Niliha trying to indicate something. He realized that it is trying to hurt his father. Lima quickly went to get his Bow and Arrow. When he came back, he found that they were flying. He didn't go to the field that day. He was angry. He waited for his father to come back. He also knew that it might be tricking him. By the evening his father came back safe and sound. He understood what had happen. He was feeling powerless. He thought he can't defeat them.
One day in the morning he was lying under a tree feeling helpless. He was thinking why Sepohas are trying to isolate me. Maybe they are trying to either provoke me or they don't want me to tell my stories to others. He was certain they are onto something. He got a bit angry. That night he had a very terrible dream. He saw that two Sepohas are carrying him by picking his shoulder to the execution area and People are shouting to kill him. He got up and was really angry. Now he was thinking to be violent. After some time he calmed himself down and realized that
His Anger will defeat him in this Journey.
Few days have passed. Sepohas have tried their best to provoke him. But he is determined to be non-violent. Now comes the Annual Sepoha day. Lima also went there. He noticed one thing. Sepohas are not provoking him in front of the crowd. They are playing innocent card. They are looking good, kind, obedient etc. So he understands that they are afraid of being known as bad. Their survival would be at risk if people find that good people like me and Neka couldn't get a Sepoha. So they are trying to prove me bad. He couldn't believe it! These reasons were available all the time. But he was not able see it. Maybe his mind wasn't stable enough at that time. Now he realizes that his way of non violence is working. They are afraid of me. But they are not showing to me. Now confidence is pouring in him that he can defeat powerful manipulative Sepohas.
Now he is thinking straight. One thing came to his mind. "As a young person it is my responsibility to help old, poor people. I need to find ways to make life easier for people. If I want people to change then I need to live in it." So he decided to focus on that as well. So he started feeding poor old people, orphans. He created houses for them as well. He played with children. He made them happy. He knew that he needs to find new ways to produce food if he wants people to get rid of Sepohas. So he began thinking on it.
Lima's life was going really well. He was full of confidence. He was not obsessed with Sepohas anymore. He was living a great life. One day, when Lima was working on the field, Hresa came to him and started behaving well. He was surprised. Few day ago, he was not event talking to him. In the evening, Kirk also came to say Hello. He also behaved well. He understood that, Sepohas discarded their idea of making me evil. Now he is certain that non violence is totally turning the battle in his favor. He realized, "when you are calm and think in a non violent way you win". But Can he forgive Sepohas for what they have done? He thought, "No. Today it is me, tomorrow it will be another person". So he started his journey to find the answers.
He wanted to know how it feels while flying. He decided to ask Seha. He entered her house like the last time in the night. He requested her to elaborate, "how it feels to be in the air?". Seha said, "It feels like you own everything. You can see so much thing from the top. You will get dissolved in the nature." He didn't get any valuable information. It felt like a waste of time so he returned.
He was sitting on the beach thinking, "how life has changed for him. When he was a small boy, he dreamed of beautiful world where people help each other." Then he observed that a piece of wood is floating on the water. He became very curious. Few ideas came to his mind. He then thought to join multiple woods to see if that floats. But what about sea Ghosts? He remembered, "what happened last time. Are they real? Or is it some kind of hoax like Sepoha?" So he decides to do an experiment. He threw a stone into the water. Nothing happened. He touched the water. Nothing happened. He went a bit deeper. Nothing happened! He was ecstatic. He understood that some people made some stories on this.
So next day he chose not to go to the field. He went to the Jungle and brought few woods. He was working with the wood, he saw his father and mother returned with their Sepohas. They both seemed very tired, went to bed quickly. He remembered that they were not very tired when they left. He thought, "how come they got so tired in few moments?". He ignored that and focused on the wood. He managed to join few woods. He was optimistic that this will float.
As per the plan, next day he went with the woods over to the sea. He was nervous as well as excited. He placed woods on the water. And it stayed afloat! He was flattered. It felt like he touched the sky. As soon as he tried to sit on it, it sank. He thought, "Maybe more woods needed". He brought more woods from the jungle. He was working with the wood, he saw the same thing. His parents were very tired when they returned. It looked like a pattern. So he ran over to Seha . He asked her, "Are you feeling, you know, tired after your ride?" After taking a moment, she said "Maybe, but why are you asking this?". Now he understood, "Something is happening after the ride not during the ride. But what is happening. It is still a mystery." He joined few more woods. Now it is ready for testing tomorrow.
Next day he placed the bundle of wood on the water. It floated. He tried to sit on it slowly. And it also stayed afloat. There is no limit of happiness. He shouted, "I did it!". But the wave didn't let it last longer. Now he had some plans how to tackle this problem. He went to the jungle for the wood. He observed something, one mosquito on his hand sucking his blood and he had no Idea. He had no Idea as he was focused on cutting wood. He thought, "Maybe that is what happening with Sepoha. They are sucking blood and that's why people get tired. People are focused on the flying, catching fish etc. They have no idea what is happening with them. Yes, this could be the reason".
He quickly returned from the jungle as he needed to meet Seha. He worriedly waited for her to return home. He quietly entered her room. She was surprised to see him again. Before he says something, Seha said, "I don't want hear anything against Sepoha". Lima requested her to do at least one thing. He has nothing to say against Sepoha. So she said, "what?". He said, "Can you please look at your hand and leg while flying? See if anything is touching your leg or hand. They might be sucking blood out of us". She didn't believe it. She promised him that she will notice it.
Next day Seha was flying with her Sepoha. She remembered what Lima told her. So she casually looked at her leg. She almost saw nothing. When she focused a bit, she found that small hairs from Sepoha touching her both leg. She was not sure. Is Lima right? Are they sucking blood out of us? This could be possible. So she made up her mind that she would cover her leg and hand next time. Next time she covered her both leg and hand. When she returned, she didn't feel tired. Now she understands what Lima was saying. All those things turned out to be true. She couldn't believe it. She went straight to the Lima and explained everything. Both are in tears. Lima explained her how non violence helped him understand the secret. He would have been executed if he had chosen the path of violence and attacked any Sepoha. He was crying..... Later he told his parents and this spreads across the village. All people rejected them. Some people even tried kill them. But Lima told them to follow the path of Non-violence and they all flied away.
He then later spread nonviolence and explained how powerful it is. It will take time to achieve your goal with nonviolence. Sepohas had an advance mind. They had an army. They could manipulate any human mind. They were communicating faster than we can ever imagine. Still they got defeated against nonviolence.
Now Lima is ready with his boat. With the boat, they can catch fish and go to the other mountains.

People get together with their Sepohas. People play music. And most important thing children can get to know more about Sepoha.
One year passes by. Now Lima learned to work on a field. He made two new friends Hresa who works with him on the field and Seha who is a neighbour. He was returning from the field, he saw, people were running to Group of Seniors and they were telling somebody is getting punishment. (Group of Seniors is the entity that gives punishment.) He finds that it was Neka. Neka was trying to kill a Sepoha. People were saying, "Neka has became a evil. He needs to be punished." He couldn't believe it. He was thinking how come people become so bad? Don't they have humanity?
Hresa is now 15 years old and it is the year to ride on a Sepoha. Lima closely watches how Hresa gets a Sepoha. There is a cave where Sepohas live. An eligible Sapson gets into the cave and tries a Sepoha that comes close to them. Now it is the time for Hresa. But only one Sapson is allowed to enter the Cave. Nobody is allowed to see the process as well. Hresa asks Lima to come with him as he was very nervous. So Lima went with him. Lima waited outside and Hresa entered the cave. After some time Lima saw that Hresa was flying on a Sepoha. He looked very happy. Lima dreams of entering the cave one day.
One year passes by. Sosa turns 15. Lima was happy that his childhood friend will fly on a Sepoha very soon. Sosa and Lima was talking the day before Sosa supposed to enter into the cave. Sosa tells Lima, "when you turn 15 and get a Sepoha, we will go together for fishing, explore those beautiful mountains." They were very much happy.
The next day when Lima was going to the field, he saw that Sosa is standing on the cliff of the mountain looking at the sea. He was terrified, he runs to Sosa. Before he reaches to her, she jumps to the Sea. He couldn't believe what just happened. Then he started running to Sosa's home and tells her mother about Sosa. He was terrified thinking about her Childhood friend. He couldn't sleep thinking about her.
Two years passes by. Lima turns 15. Kloha and Lima became close friends now. Lima's father and mother were celebrating as their only son will get a Sepoha after one week. Lima was very excited. Lima thought not wait for a week. So he decided to go to the Sepoha Cave tomorrow.
The next day, early in the morning he left his home. He was really nervous as well as excited. He reached Sepoha Cave. He took a deep breath. He thought this is it. He then entered the Cave and kept walking, it was quiet dark. After walking for some time, he heard the sound of Sepohas. It was a big relief for him. As he approached to the center of the Cave, he could see some Sepohas were sleeping, some were walking. Then there was an alert among Sepohas as they saw someone entered their Cave. But they soon recognized that it was a not a threat. Then one Sepoha came to him and allowed him to sit. Lima couldn't believe how simple was that. He then sit on her. Then Sepoha flied straight to the Sky. Lima was scared as it was the first time he was flying. Then he directed Sepoha to go to his home as he wanted his mother and father know about this. Then Sepoha suddenly came down and threw him to the ground.
Lima couldn't believe what just happened. Everything was good until he directed it to go to his home. He was sad and afraid. He kept thinking what mistake he made. He spent his whole day on the field thinking about it. This has shattered his dreams. Then he realized, he might have gone on the wrong day. So he kept his hope alive.
One week has passed. In the morning, he didn't tell his mother or father and went over to the Sepoha Cave. So many thoughts came to his mind. "Is he bad person? Has he committed any crime?". He reached to the Cave and approached to the center of the cave. Sepohas were watching him. Then one Sepoha came to him. He recognized that it was a different one. He was relieved. He then sited on it. As last time, Sepoha flied straight to the Sky. Then she suddenly came down to the ground and threw him.
Lima was afraid. He still lies on the ground and looking at the Sky. Now he thinks of him as a bad person. He was thinking of not going back to the home. He gathers his strength and get up on his foot. He walks randomly and decides to go to the beach. He was sitting on the beach and thinking. He thought he didn't do any bad thing in his life. After some time, he thought, maybe there was something wrong with those two Sepohas. He quite convinced by this idea. So he decided to return home and tell his Father that he is afraid of height and will get a Sepoha next year. He reached home and his mother and father were waiting for him. He told them exactly what he has planned. But they were not convinced by this, they pushed him to try once otherwise they will have to wait one more year.
In the night he was sitting on the front yard and watching Niliha and Simiha (Sepohas of his Father and Mother). He found that Sepohas trying to say something in their bitter eyes. He went close to them. Before he did something Simiha touched him with her head. Soon he realized that they are trying to say something. Maybe they are trying to say not to lose hope. He tried hard to ignore it and went to bed.
Tomorrow morning, he tried to reassemble his broken pieces thinking that he will never go to the Cave again and live a great life. He prepared himself to go to the field and as always these thing hovers in his head as he walks to his field. He was working then he saw one Sepoha came to his field and flapping its wings. It seemed like it was trying to say something. He was not able to understand what was happening. He then thought, maybe this has been sent by God. He is in a dilemma. Should he try or not. Then something happened and he saw nearby people was rushing into something. He decided to try this Sepoha for last time. As he extended his hand to touch the Sepoha, it started to hurt him with its wings. He was confused and tried to hop over then it threw him. As he was hurt, he started to hurt the Sepoha as well to some extend. Soon he realized what he was doing, so he stopped. After that, Sepoha flied away.
In the evening, he was sitting on the front yard, and thinking what happened today. Why a Sepoha came to me and what it was trying to say with its wings. It could have flied away when I approached then nothing would have happened. Then he saw Niliha and Simiha flapping their wings as well. As he went forward to see what is wrong, they seemed to attack him as well. Then he quickly retreated. He got very scared. He then went to the bed trying to think what is happening to him.
Next morning, he prepared himself to go to the field. He was walking, then he saw one Sepoha trying to follow him. He got a bit angry and tried hard to ignore it. He was working on the field, he saw his friend Hresa came with his Sepoha to work on his field. It was kind of relief as he was going through too much. As soon as he started a friendly conversation with him, Sepoha tried to distract Hresa by flapping its wings vigorously. Then after some time it flied away. Lima understood that something is happening. So he returned to his field.
When he was returning to his house, he saw, two Sepohas were following him. He got very angry. He thought to teach them a lesson. He planned to shoot them down. He had dinner with his father. His mother noticed he is angry. So she asked him "what is wrong?". Lima was not sure if he should talk to his mother. He thought she wouldn't believe him. Sepohas were known to be Sacred. No one would believe him. So he said "nothing". His mother told him, "Don't make decision when you are angry. Always try to understand and seek answer". This advice has made positive impact on him. When he went to bed, he realized maybe mother is right. He tried to keep his emotion away and think what is happening to him.
How come all Sepohas are behaving badly with him?
Is it because the small fight that happened yesterday?
Is that the reason all Sepohas are trying to hurt him?
But how come they all know so fast?
Are they communicating that fast?
"But what I did yesterday was just a reflection. I had no intention to hurt. There is something that I am missing. Let me think once again."
"Maybe they are trying to provoke me. It could be! But why are they trying to make me angry? Oh, when I get Angry, I would attack them and when I do, people would think I am a evil spirit. When it is proved that I am evil and attacking Sepoha, then they can execute me. Oh my god, it is a sinister plan. Wait, when Sepoha came to the field, people were around. People would have seen me attacking a Sepoha. But that didn't happen as for some reason People left. That was the plan. They tried to end me there. But why they want to end me in the first place? I am just a small person." He couldn't find the answer.
He thought to go to the Group of Seniors and tell everything. But there was no Law for this. Even if he tell against Sepohas they will prosecute him. So he rejected this plan. But he understood one thing.
"Sepohas are communicating in a way that is beyond his imagination."
Next day he was working on the field. He saw Hresa coming with his Sepoha. But Sepoha didn't let him land on the field. He was circling around and then flied away. Hresa also seemed confused. It looked like Sepoha trying to indicate Hresa that it didn't want to get close to Lima. Now Lima is certain that they were trying to present him as a evil person.
He was sitting on the beach thinking all about this. He thought he lost everything in his life. He lost all his dreams. He lost all his friends. Sepohas working together to harass him and he can't tell anyone about this. If he can't get a Sepoha, ultimately people will think he is a bad person. He was frustrated and defeated in his life. He thought to end his life. He then moved forward to the sea. Finally he touched the Sea. Then he remembers one incident when Neka saved him from the Sea ghost. He moved back. He tried to remember what happened last time. Neka was a good person. Then something sparked in his head. Why would he have tried to hurt a Sepoha? They must have made him do it. But why he? After thinking for sometime Lima found that case of Neka and his are similar. Sepohas didn't let Neka fly on them as me. But why they didn't let Neka fly. Is there something that they need from us. If they don't get that then they don't let us ride. Hmm, that could be a possible reason. But why they want us dead? Maybe we are known to be good person. There is a believe that only Good persons can ride Sepohas. So if people find this is not true, then people will know the Truth and there is risk of their survival. This all makes sense now. He understood that,
"Their survival depends on me being angry or violent."
Now he understands why Sosa committed suicide. She couldn't bear the idea of people telling her a evil spirit. So it is Non-Violence that will help me survive! Yes it is. Through non-violence I might prove they are bad.
Tomorrow morning it was very late when he woke up. When he reached the field he saw Hresa working on the field and his Sepoha was not there. So he tried to talk to him. But it seemed like he was trying to avoid him. He couldn't understand, he was a good friend. He thought, "how come suddenly he doesn't want to talk? Oh, it was Sepoha. It might have done something to him. Oh my god,
"They have the power of Manipulation."
They had almost compelled me to hurt them. So they kind of have advance brain and they communicate fast. He was going crazy. He realized that People are becoming Slave and Sepohas becoming Master. People do what Sepohas tell them to do. He was thinking how can he change the mind of People? They are never going to believe it." He thought to try his old friend Kloha. He has been a brother to him, so he will believe him.
Next day, he went over to his house. Kloha was happy seeing him. They had dinner. So he started telling all these things. He was patient and listened to all his stories. But soon Lima found that he was not buying his story. He started asking questions, "why would they do it? Sepohas can catch fish. They can live all by themselves." Lima didn't have answers for this. This was not unexpected for him. So Lima left and decided that he is not going tell all these stories.
He understood that, "what Kloha thinks is right. People won't believe me if I don't find a reason. But how can I find unless I am in the air on a Sepoha. Maybe I didn't explain it properly to Kloha". He planned in a different way to explain this to Seha. She had a Sepoha. So he knew that it won't be easy. He normally sees Seha in the evening. But he needs to make sure, no Sepoha sees him talking with her. So he chose to tell her tomorrow night.
Tomorrow night he quietly entered into her house. Seha was surprised to see him in an unexpected time. She asked him, "what happened?" He said, "nothing I just wanted to talk". Seha said, "okay". So he began like this.
"There is something on my mind that is bothering me! I thought tell you. It will sound bizarre... It is very hard to understand. Probably you won't believe me. But please hear me out. Sepohas are trying to trick us. They need us to survive and they are actually getting that. If they are not getting what they want, then they are trying to trick us either to commit crime or commit suicide. When we commit crime, we are being executed. So either way they are eliminating us. I know what I am saying is beyond your imagination. But it is true. Please believe me. I don't know what they want from us. But there is something. I need you to understand this."
She was stunned. She could not believe this. She said, "I have a Sepoha. It never tried to hurt me. I have never seen anything like this. Maybe there is some confusion". Lima understood that it didn't work. So he said, "please keep it a secret until I understand it". So she promised to keep it a secret. Lima tried to understand why people are not even ready to listen anything against Sepoha. Maybe they are beautiful? Talking negative about them just don't work. Maybe that's how our brain works. Yes, this might be true. Our brain is trained to not accept anything bad about beautiful Sepohas. Our brain thinks beautiful means Good! This has become even more difficult for him.
Lima pledged not to bow down. He thought to look everything from a different perspective. For this he needs to change his way of life. He plans to take cows for grazing in the morning. This is usually his father's job. So tomorrow morning he took their flock of cows to the field. He met two new people, Roki who is a 11 years old boy and Kirk who is 17 years old boy. He had a very good time with them. They joked and laughed. He thought to continue this way of life for sometime.
They meet for next few days. All three became very good friend. Then one day, Kirk stopped coming. Roki has also no idea, who is a very good friend of Kirk. After some research, Lima found that it was Sepoha! He was sure that it might have manipulated him in some way. He can't believe that they don't want me to have a life! He was angry but promised himself to be calm!
One day he saw Hresa is working on the field. He thought to do an experiment. "Let's reverse manipulate him. If I can make him remember the old memories then I can able to talk to him". So he started like this, "Hey Hresa, you remember the last time when the flock of birds eating our grains and they were not leaving, we had run a lot to fly them out?" Hresa said, "Yes brother I remember that. Good old memories". Lima said, "hmm, we are not talking anymore". Hresa said, "I have been very busy and I have a lot of work. So?". Lima understood that he didn't want to talk. So he left. He understands that, "This is manipulation. You can not tell people that you are under manipulation because what they are doing they think they are doing on their own". He saw one Sepoha eavesdropping his conversation with Hresa. He observed that Sepohas are tracking his every move. So he needed to be cautious. While returning from the field, he saw that few Sepohas have made a group. It looked like they kind of planning something! Now he is a bit afraid. He asked himself these questions, "what if they do something before I do? But if I do something they will make me a bad person?. Maybe the safest way is to remain calm and non violent". He couldn't understand all those things happening to him. He was becoming mad. He was thinking
Maybe his brain is not advance enough to understand these.
Now Lima has no friend. No one understands him. He goes to the field alone, works alone. Sepohas took away all his friends through manipulation. One day he was preparing himself to go to the field, he saw his father is going to the island with Niliha(Sepoha of his father). He saw Niliha trying to indicate something. He realized that it is trying to hurt his father. Lima quickly went to get his Bow and Arrow. When he came back, he found that they were flying. He didn't go to the field that day. He was angry. He waited for his father to come back. He also knew that it might be tricking him. By the evening his father came back safe and sound. He understood what had happen. He was feeling powerless. He thought he can't defeat them.
One day in the morning he was lying under a tree feeling helpless. He was thinking why Sepohas are trying to isolate me. Maybe they are trying to either provoke me or they don't want me to tell my stories to others. He was certain they are onto something. He got a bit angry. That night he had a very terrible dream. He saw that two Sepohas are carrying him by picking his shoulder to the execution area and People are shouting to kill him. He got up and was really angry. Now he was thinking to be violent. After some time he calmed himself down and realized that
His Anger will defeat him in this Journey.
Few days have passed. Sepohas have tried their best to provoke him. But he is determined to be non-violent. Now comes the Annual Sepoha day. Lima also went there. He noticed one thing. Sepohas are not provoking him in front of the crowd. They are playing innocent card. They are looking good, kind, obedient etc. So he understands that they are afraid of being known as bad. Their survival would be at risk if people find that good people like me and Neka couldn't get a Sepoha. So they are trying to prove me bad. He couldn't believe it! These reasons were available all the time. But he was not able see it. Maybe his mind wasn't stable enough at that time. Now he realizes that his way of non violence is working. They are afraid of me. But they are not showing to me. Now confidence is pouring in him that he can defeat powerful manipulative Sepohas.
Now he is thinking straight. One thing came to his mind. "As a young person it is my responsibility to help old, poor people. I need to find ways to make life easier for people. If I want people to change then I need to live in it." So he decided to focus on that as well. So he started feeding poor old people, orphans. He created houses for them as well. He played with children. He made them happy. He knew that he needs to find new ways to produce food if he wants people to get rid of Sepohas. So he began thinking on it.
Lima's life was going really well. He was full of confidence. He was not obsessed with Sepohas anymore. He was living a great life. One day, when Lima was working on the field, Hresa came to him and started behaving well. He was surprised. Few day ago, he was not event talking to him. In the evening, Kirk also came to say Hello. He also behaved well. He understood that, Sepohas discarded their idea of making me evil. Now he is certain that non violence is totally turning the battle in his favor. He realized, "when you are calm and think in a non violent way you win". But Can he forgive Sepohas for what they have done? He thought, "No. Today it is me, tomorrow it will be another person". So he started his journey to find the answers.
He wanted to know how it feels while flying. He decided to ask Seha. He entered her house like the last time in the night. He requested her to elaborate, "how it feels to be in the air?". Seha said, "It feels like you own everything. You can see so much thing from the top. You will get dissolved in the nature." He didn't get any valuable information. It felt like a waste of time so he returned.
He was sitting on the beach thinking, "how life has changed for him. When he was a small boy, he dreamed of beautiful world where people help each other." Then he observed that a piece of wood is floating on the water. He became very curious. Few ideas came to his mind. He then thought to join multiple woods to see if that floats. But what about sea Ghosts? He remembered, "what happened last time. Are they real? Or is it some kind of hoax like Sepoha?" So he decides to do an experiment. He threw a stone into the water. Nothing happened. He touched the water. Nothing happened. He went a bit deeper. Nothing happened! He was ecstatic. He understood that some people made some stories on this.
So next day he chose not to go to the field. He went to the Jungle and brought few woods. He was working with the wood, he saw his father and mother returned with their Sepohas. They both seemed very tired, went to bed quickly. He remembered that they were not very tired when they left. He thought, "how come they got so tired in few moments?". He ignored that and focused on the wood. He managed to join few woods. He was optimistic that this will float.
As per the plan, next day he went with the woods over to the sea. He was nervous as well as excited. He placed woods on the water. And it stayed afloat! He was flattered. It felt like he touched the sky. As soon as he tried to sit on it, it sank. He thought, "Maybe more woods needed". He brought more woods from the jungle. He was working with the wood, he saw the same thing. His parents were very tired when they returned. It looked like a pattern. So he ran over to Seha . He asked her, "Are you feeling, you know, tired after your ride?" After taking a moment, she said "Maybe, but why are you asking this?". Now he understood, "Something is happening after the ride not during the ride. But what is happening. It is still a mystery." He joined few more woods. Now it is ready for testing tomorrow.
Next day he placed the bundle of wood on the water. It floated. He tried to sit on it slowly. And it also stayed afloat. There is no limit of happiness. He shouted, "I did it!". But the wave didn't let it last longer. Now he had some plans how to tackle this problem. He went to the jungle for the wood. He observed something, one mosquito on his hand sucking his blood and he had no Idea. He had no Idea as he was focused on cutting wood. He thought, "Maybe that is what happening with Sepoha. They are sucking blood and that's why people get tired. People are focused on the flying, catching fish etc. They have no idea what is happening with them. Yes, this could be the reason".
He quickly returned from the jungle as he needed to meet Seha. He worriedly waited for her to return home. He quietly entered her room. She was surprised to see him again. Before he says something, Seha said, "I don't want hear anything against Sepoha". Lima requested her to do at least one thing. He has nothing to say against Sepoha. So she said, "what?". He said, "Can you please look at your hand and leg while flying? See if anything is touching your leg or hand. They might be sucking blood out of us". She didn't believe it. She promised him that she will notice it.
Next day Seha was flying with her Sepoha. She remembered what Lima told her. So she casually looked at her leg. She almost saw nothing. When she focused a bit, she found that small hairs from Sepoha touching her both leg. She was not sure. Is Lima right? Are they sucking blood out of us? This could be possible. So she made up her mind that she would cover her leg and hand next time. Next time she covered her both leg and hand. When she returned, she didn't feel tired. Now she understands what Lima was saying. All those things turned out to be true. She couldn't believe it. She went straight to the Lima and explained everything. Both are in tears. Lima explained her how non violence helped him understand the secret. He would have been executed if he had chosen the path of violence and attacked any Sepoha. He was crying..... Later he told his parents and this spreads across the village. All people rejected them. Some people even tried kill them. But Lima told them to follow the path of Non-violence and they all flied away.
He then later spread nonviolence and explained how powerful it is. It will take time to achieve your goal with nonviolence. Sepohas had an advance mind. They had an army. They could manipulate any human mind. They were communicating faster than we can ever imagine. Still they got defeated against nonviolence.
Now Lima is ready with his boat. With the boat, they can catch fish and go to the other mountains.
NONVIOLENCE WINS!
